Sylvia Wang - producer/director
Sylvia Wang is a British-Chinese filmmaker and a driving force in independent cinema. With a background in Technology Consulting within Finance, Sylvia transitioned into filmmaking to address the systemic struggles faced by women and people of color—experiences that inspire much of her work.
As a producer and director at Featherstone Pictures, Sylvia excels in bringing socially conscious stories to life. Her debut short film, centered on a dystopian "Afterlife" where individuals work to earn credits, reflects her commitment to challenging societal norms. Sylvia is dedicated to discovering and championing independent films and filmmakers, ensuring diverse voices are heard on screen.
Zen Nguyen - producer/director
Zen Nguyen is a Belgian-Vietnamese director and producer based in London. She holds a BA in Communication, a Master’s in Creativity and Marketing, and an MA in Directing. After nearly a decade producing commercials for global brands like Nestlé and KitKat, she transitioned into narrative filmmaking.
Her short film “Scarlet Silence” won Best Thriller at the London Global Film Awards and Best Short Drama at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, and was selected for festivals including Director Talents Movie Awards, Stockholm Short Festival, Liverpool Indie Awards and Femme Filmmakers Festival. In 2022, she produced the feature “The Girl from The Past,” which received awards for Best Cinematography and Visual Effects.
